This was taken on the way to Hatta Pools (although we never reached there).  This is outskirts of the desert, really dry and full of twigs.  I found this cut tree and I thought it convey something interesting.  Anyway, I took 3 shots and this was the one I like best. Gear: Canon 450D + Sigma 10-20mm Settings: f8.0 | 1/15 | ISO 100 Post process: This is a two exposure shot; I blended the -2EV exposure for the sky […]

365 Project : Day 179

This was taken in Hatta – Oman Road…  I wanted to experiment with black and white, recently I don’t feel like processing in color.  BTW, I just got myself a new LCD monitor an HP LP3065 30″ Wide color gamut monitor and it is huuuuge!  Probably, my eyes is getting tired too much color in this massive display 🙂 Gear: Canon 450D + Sigma 10-20mm Settings: f8.0 | 1/25 | ISO 100 Post processing: 3 exposures combined using DRI Applied […]

365 Project : Day 117

Taken somewhere at the Hatta desert.  It’s sad that a lot of people just don’t care and pollute places like this, leaving their trash behind…  Captured using my point and shoot camera, LX3. Gear:  Lumix LX3 Settings: f2.0 | 1/2000 | ISO 80 Post process: Made the image darker using curves Enhanced the sky to have a dramatic look Dodging and burning Cheers! /Mike
